Paul’s Weekly Letter – 20 June 2018

Good Evening,

Wow, I have to say I was surprised by the lack of surprises during the primary. I believe every mainstream candidate that was available to us to vote for won. As you know Joy Trushenski, I and several others sat outside the polling stations the entire election day. We offered help and advice throughout the day, Maurice White spent 30 minutes going through the entire ballot explaining each candidate to one voter.

We are on our way to Las Vegas this weekend for the state GOP convention. As you may have heard the President will be in town for a Senator Dean Heller fundraiser and he plans on stopping by the convention. As I always tell everyone Nevada politics affords us opportunities to visit with our representatives at all levels and for that we should be grateful.

I signed quite a few people for this email, hopefully that turns into more people attending our meetings. Since I mentioned new members, one of our new members gave us a check for $100 marked annual dues, no we don’t charge annual dues but his contribution sure goes a long way and I wish everyone was just as generous.

Don’t forget we have a general membership meeting next Thursday at the Nugget.

And one more thing, it is with deep regret I had to accept the resignation of our First Vice Chair Aaron Sims, Aaron new job has taken all his free time and we felt it was the best option for him and the party. I have one volunteer for his job but if you are interested please let me know. I plan on having a vote for Aaron replacement next Thursday.

Paul
